8-Mile Back Bay Race

  8-Mile and 4-Mile Back Bay Fun Paddles to the Wonder Bar. 

Registration is FREE. Each paddler must raise $200 in donations.

Event Schedule

Stand up / Prone / Team Relay/ Surf Ski/ Race Kayak/ Lifeguard Boats

22.5-Mile Race
Registration / check-in 6:30-7:45 a.m.
Pre-paddle meeting for all paddlers will begin at 7:45 a.m.
Race starts at 8 a.m.
8-Mile Race
Registration / paddle check-in 8:15-9:15 a.m.
Pre-paddle meeting for all paddlers will begin at 9:15 a.m.
Fun paddle starts at 9:30 a.m.

 

 

 

4-Mile and 8-Mile Back Bay Fun Paddles

4-Mile paddle to the Wonder Bar where transportation for the paddler and their board will be provided back to the Golden Nugget. 8-Mile round trip paddle to the Wonder Bar and back. 8-Mile Team relay paddle. These events are a great way to support the cause for those that are new to the sport of paddling. 

Registration / Paddler check in 8:15-9:30 a.m.
 Pre-paddle meeting on the water at 9:45 a.m.
Paddle starts at 10 a.m.

4:00 pm: After Party @ Golden Nugget Marina

Cash Prizes for the 22.5 Mile Race are conditional upon a presenting sponsor in the following categories:

Men's SUP 14' open age 
Men's SUP 14' 50 years and older 
Men's Prone open
 Men's Prone Stock 14'
Women's SUP 14'
Women's Prone
 

1st - $400
2nd - $200
3rd - $100

The Paddle for a Cause is a charity event whose proceeds assist people who are battling cancer.
